Job description

A national utility company is looking for a Senior HSE Advisor to oversee its operations within the commercial gas distribution division in Southwestern Ontario region. This role is best suited to someone in the Greater London Ontario region and involves travel across Southwestern Ontario.

The Role: 

• Drive company safety culture and act as the main point of contact for health and safety within Southwestern Ontario
• Perform hazard assessments, workplace inspections and observations and incident investigations
• Support operations in managing process safety
• Participate in the development of health and safety performance measures
• Liaise and communicate effectively with TSSA, MOL, MTO and other regulatory bodies

Candidate Requirements: 

• Post-secondary education in the area of Occupational Health and Safety
• Minimum 3 years of experience within a health and safety role in the natural gas, utility, or hydro experience sector
• Ability to travel (50%) to support operations across Southwestern Ontario using a company-provided vehicle
• Independent and self-starter
• COR and ISO 45001 experience is an asset
